At a recent board meeting, the DeWitt Public School District’s Board of Education approved a resolution to place a bond proposal on the November 3, 2026, election ballot to fund facility improvements and enhance educational opportunities across the district.
The board is asking voters to consider a $157 million bond proposal for infrastructure upgrades and program enhancements. The bond would provide these improvements for the community at a zero tax-rate increase (from the prior levy).
Reflecting priorities identified by our community, the bond proposal focuses on safer schools, updated facilities, modern learning environments, and expanded opportunities in the arts and athletics.
