ENROLLMENT
To register in DeWitt Public Schools, you must reside within the district boundaries
or be able to attend according to board policy.
PRIOR TO ONLINE REGISTERING: With your student, read the District handbook, District code of conduct, appropriate school handbook, Athletic Handbook (if applicable) and Concussion Education piece. Scroll down to find the documents. You will be required to acknowledge that you have read these documents during the registration process.
REQUIRED REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS TO HAVE READY TO UPLOAD:
Certified Birth Certificate - Original, with raised seal, must be viewed in person.
Two (2) proofs of Residency that verify you live within the DeWitt School District boundaries. One proof MUST be property specific proof ie. utility bill, property tax info, lease. Second proof could be home/car insurance, cellphone bill, driver’s license.
Immunization Record - up-to-date and certified by an immunization provider or local health department
Custody/Guardianship - Court document indicating physical and legal custody, if applicable
Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Plan, if applicable
Medical forms, if action is required during the school day (forms can be found under District Forms)
Other grade specific required documents:
Kindergarten/Young 5s: Hearing, Vision and Dental assessment documentation.
Grades 6-8: Middle School registration form to indicate elective class preference. Download/print the appropriate grade form. Email the completed form to enrollment@dewittschools.net.
Grades 9-12: High School Course Request Download/print the appropriate grade sheet. Email the completed form to enrollment@dewittschools.net.
Grades 10-12: Transcript from the previous school attended.

Be sure you are using Chrome or Firefox for the registration process. Safari (Apple) doesn't work well with the program.
Use appropriate button to the right (New Family or Existing Family). Be sure to jot down your application/confirmation number if you wish to save and return at a later time to finish. If you forget your application number, contact the District Registrar. Please do not start another application.
Enter the requested information and upload the required documents. Utilize the NEXT and SAVE/CONTINUE buttons to move through the application and complete all information. SUBMIT once complete. Your application will be reviewed by staff and you will receive notification of your enrollment status.
NOTE: If you require access to a computer or need assistance uploading required documents,
please feel free to stop in the Board of Education Office with the documents and staff will assist you.
COMPLETE ENROLLMENT, if necessary – Bring in the original birth certificate to be viewed, along with any outstanding documentation.
All District enrollments are processed at the Board of Education office.
The office is located at 2957 W. Herbison Road, look for Door #16 at the south end of the Middle School.
SUMMER HOURS are Monday-Thursday 8:30am-4pm, closed on Fridays
EARLY-AUGUST, NEW FAMILIES RECEIVE INFO TO SET UP PARENT PORTAL. You will receive an email prior to the portal opening for the 2023-24 school year. The parent portal is an online tool where you can find school related information for your child. Bus schedule, teacher/schedule assignments and login information for the network are all available. Grades and report cards are posted in the portal also. Please note that the type of information available varies by building and grade level.
