School of Choice openings will be announced mid-late April 2025 on our District School of Choice webpage.
You must be accepted into the SOC program PRIOR to enrolling your child.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS TO UPLOAD TO YOUR ONLINE REGISTRATION NOTE: Once registration is submitted, you won't be able to upload additional documentation. Any outstanding items can be provided to the District Registrar via fax, email or in person.
Certificate of Live Birth - Raised seal and/or County Clerk stamp must be evident.
Residency proofs - Two proofs are required. One MUST be a utility bill, property tax info or lease.
Immunization Record - Must be signed by an immunization provider or local health department not a Patient portal record.
Custody/Guardianship court document, if applicable
Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Plan, if applicable
Kindergarten/Young 5s/1st graders:
Hearing, Vision and Dental assessments - If your medical provider or PreK program hasn't completed these assessments, you can sign up for free assessments by appointment with SignUp Genius (https://www.signupgenius.com/go/904084BAEAE22A0FC1-54459764-hearing)
Grades 6-8: Complete the Middle School registration form and email to enrollment@dewittschools.net
Grades 9-12: Complete the High School Course Request and email to enrollment@dewittschools.net
Grades 10-12: Transcript from the previous school/s attended

View the “How to Register Your Student Online” video.
Chrome or Firefox browsers work best.
Jot down your application/confirmation number. If you forget your number, contact the District Registrar.
Utilize NEXT, SAVE/CONTINUE to move through the registration.
Once complete, be sure to click the SUBMIT button. Your registration will be reviewed by staff and you will receive notification of your enrollment status.

ONLINE REGISTRATION DUE DATES
Young 5 online registration applications should be submitted by Wednesday, April 30, 2025 to be considered for placement. This is NOT a first come, first serve program. Families will be notified of selection early June 2025.
Kindergarten submissions should be received prior to June 1, 2025.
May 7, 2025 - FREE HEARING, VISION & DENTAL ASSESSMENTS by appointment: If your preschool, physician or dentist hasn’t screened your child within the past 6 months, this is an opportunity to have the assessments completed. The Mid Michigan District Health Department will provide assessments at Schavey Road Elementary on May 7. EARLY AUGUST - PARENT PORTAL INFORMATION FOR NEW FAMILIES: Infinite Campus Parent Portal set up will be emailed to each guardian. The parent portal is an online tool where parents can find school related information for their child/ren. Bus schedules, teacher/schedule assignments and login information for the network are all available. Grades and report cards also are posted in the portal. NOTE: Students will receive their own login information the first week of school.
The portal will open mid to late August for 2025-26 school year information.
