To enroll in DeWitt Public Schools, you must reside within the district boundaries or be able to attend according to board policy. NOTE: School of Choice for the 2022-23 school year has closed.
Required Enrollment Documents to have ready to upload*:
Certified Birth Certificate - Original, with raised seal, must be viewed in person at the Board of Education office prior to approval of enrollment. We are located at 2957 W. Herbison Road, Door #16, a separate entrance at the south end of the Middle School. Our summer office hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm, closed on Fridays. NOTE: All District offices and buildings are closed July 4 - 8.
Two (2) proofs of Residency Verification that you live within the boundaries of DeWitt School District (ie. utility bill, property tax info, lease, home insurance, cellphone bill, driver’s license)
Immunization Record, up-to-date and certified by an immunization provider office, local health department or the MI Dept. of Health & Human Services
Custody/Guardianship Court documentation re. physical and legal custody, if applicable
Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Plan, if applicable
Medical forms, if action is required during the school day
