What if there are more applications than spaces?
By law, school districts must hold a lottery if more applications are received than spaces available. Notification emails/letters will be sent to parents late June. If selected, parents will be asked to complete enrollment materials.
Transportation
Transportation to and from our district will be the responsibility of the parent. Children must arrive in time to begin instructional activities at the start of the school day and must be picked up or have other arrangements once the school day has ended.
Before and After School Care Programs
District Before and After School programs are operated by DeWitt Community Education KIDS Childcare. To obtain information about their program please call (517) 668-3460 or visit their website Community Education.
Are siblings guaranteed enrollment in future years?
No. Any siblings of enrolled Schools of Choice students must complete a Schools of Choice application during the SOC application window to be considered for enrollment. Siblings are given preference for available advertised openings, however, not guaranteed.
